About Me

Let's get personal for a moment. 

Before becoming a mom, I had a career in PR/advertising and pharmaceutical sales. Then, in the last 15 years, I have dabbled in entrepreneurship, with 4 small businesses from the Midwest to the East Coast, and I have volunteered enough hours every year to rival any full-time job to include Girl Scout Leader, PTA President, HOA President and school Board of Trustees. 

I have three teenagers, a wonderful husband of 20+ years, and a FOMO-suffering dog whom we adore. I have a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State, but I never did become the next Oprah, as originally planned. Instead, I am an expert at change and transition, a compassionate listener, and a consummate organizer. I am also a fantastic writing coach who knows how to draw out the very best from your college applicant. 

As a graduate of Coach Training Alliance and an ICF Certified Life Coach, I specialize in coaching teens, young adults and parents through whatever life may throw at them, specializing in the A to Z of the college process from just beginning the process to embarking on robust careers to navigating the choice to continue through to medical, dental, PT or graduate school. 

Being a teen or young adult is hard. Being the parent of either is also hard. With BYL, you don't have to do either alone.
